Dear colleagues,
If you are interested in AI, bias, diversity and inclusion, and the ethical implications of technology at work, join us for our PDW on biases in AI!
Biases in AI and Their Ethical Implications (#12597)
Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Time: 9:45 AM – 11:15 AM ET
Place: Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Third Floor, Adams Room
This PDW explores how AI systems, despite their reputation for objectivity, can reflect and reproduce existing social inequalities, with disproportionate consequences for underrepresented groups. Four expert scholars will present perspectives on bias in AI across organizational contexts, followed by a facilitated brainstorming session to collaboratively develop future research directions and methodological approaches. We hope you will leave with new insights, fresh research ideas, and a broader network of scholars thinking seriously about AI and DEI.
Highlights
- Examine unconscious bias in AI from multiple organizational lenses, including teams, culture, and high-stakes domains
- Engage directly with leading scholars through an interactive Q&A
- Collaborate in small-group brainstorming to generate future research questions and agendas
