Click or tap if you trust this link." target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nurturing Our Careers: The Role of Developmental Relationships in Academic Careers, taking place on Friday, July 31st 8:30 – 10:00 EDT, Convention Center Room 110A and go beyond a narrow focus on advising to consider the broader network of mentors, sponsors, collaborators, and colleagues who influence our career trajectories, scholarly identities, and professional growth.

    Drawing on scholarship on mentoring, developmental networks, and academic careers, our distinguished speakers will share research insights and practical lessons on cultivating meaningful developmental relationships throughout an academic career.

    Through interactive roundtable discussions, participants will explore actionable strategies for building developmental academic relationships with greater intentionality and impact. Whether you are a seasoned academic working with junior colleagues, a doctoral student, or an early-career scholar, this session offers an opportunity to reflect on your developmental network, learn from colleagues, and contribute to a conversation about creating more supportive, generative and sustainable academic careers.
