Colleagues, please join us for our session titled Teaching DEI in Business Schools in 2026: Holding the Line, to be held on Saturday August 1 from 1:00 to 2:30PM in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 100 level room 120B.
The teaching of DEI in business schools is unfolding amid significant headwinds-legislative constraints, resource pressures, and increasingly politicized classroom environments. At the same time, students continue to seek substantive engagement with equity, identity, and power in organizational life. This PDW convenes six DEI educators from the US, Canada, and Australia to share pedagogical innovations developed in response to this moment, including approaches for engaging skeptical audiences through rigorous evidence, incorporating non-Western epistemologies, and reframing backlash productively. Participants will be invited to share, in facilitated table discussions, the issues and ideas they are currently grappling with in their own teaching and institutional contexts. Attendees will leave with concrete tools and comparative insights for teaching DEI in challenging political and institutional environments.
No registration necessary - all are welcome to attend.
