#AOM2026
If you are going to be in Philadelphia for the AOM conference, please consider adding our panel symposium to your schedule, featuring 3 leading academics Sally Maitlis Karen Jansen Kristie Rogers and 2 final stage PhD candidates, John Millea, and Kathryn Brett.
Together our research examines how sensemaking and identity unfold over time; how temporal dynamics shape the ways individuals and organizations evolve and change; and how gendered organizational contexts and cumulative gender bias influence women's agency, career paths, and belonging.
In the symposium (Sunday August 2, 1130a - 100p) we will discuss and debate questions such as:
Why do organizations still evaluate legitimacy, readiness, commitment, and success through gendered temporal practices that make so many women appear out of synch?
What if we stopped treating nonlinear, interrupted careers as the problem and treated them as the prototype for the future of work?
Hope to see you there.
