Course Description
This course provides an overview for understanding social diversity and its implications for organizational leaders. You will learn about several dimensions of social difference, the challenges associated with managing those differences, and how to leverage those differences to advance organizational objectives. This course will prepare you to lead effectively in socially diverse contexts.

Upon completing this course, you should be able to:
 Explain social science theories related to managing diversity and social inequality
 Provide demographic statistics related to major social groups and disparities across groups
 Describe common characteristics and misperceptions of major social groups
 Identify instances of stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination
 Recognize your personal biases
 Explain legislation related to employment discrimination and managing a diverse organization
 Describe the challenges and benefits associated with having a socially diverse organization
