Advancing Women in Leadership Award

Status: OPEN Self-nominations accepted Presented at the AOM Annual Meeting $500 award

This award is given to a scholar who has made a significant contribution to advancing women in leadership through intellectual contributions that shape educational practice.

Nomination Details

Nomination status: OPEN

To nominate, please submit:

  1. A 2–3 page letter of recommendation outlining the nominee’s contributions with respect to the criteria below
  2. A copy of the nominee’s curriculum vitae (CV)

Tip: If you are self-nominating, the letter can be written as a nomination statement addressing each criterion clearly and directly.

Criteria

Nominations are evaluated based on the following:

  1. Impact or significance of intellectual contributions on educational practices that support the advancement of women in leadership
  2. The breadth or overall scope of the nominee’s work with respect to contribution to such educational practices
  3. Demonstration of an understanding of the specific benefits of education for women for empowerment and leadership
  4. The breadth and depth of educational practices that support the advancement of women in leadership

Award Details

The award includes $500, sponsored by the Simmons University Institute for Inclusive Leadership, and is presented in person at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting.

Self-nominations are allowed.
